Police Caught Stealing Residents’ Pro-2nd Amendment Signs
The First Amendment (Amendment I) to the United States Constitution prohibits the making of any law respecting an establishment of religion, impeding the free exercise of religion, abridging the freedom of speech, infringing on the freedom of the press, interfering with the right to peaceably assemble or prohibiting the petitioning for a governmental redress of grievances.
The inability to curtail or abridge free speech in America is a federal crime. However, Joe Gibson claims the town’s police department has violated this right, in Somers, N.Y.
Joe Gibson had hidden camera’s setup in his home because his yard signs kept disappearing. When he put a camera up to catch the thief, the offender turned out to be an officer of the law, caught blatantly stealing the sign.
